Our Story

Chris Patraw is an American fashion designer, artist, and Founder & Creative Director of PATRAW, an independent luxury fashion house rooted in art, individuality, and contemporary design.

Born in Chula Vista, California and raised in Southwest Florida, Patraw developed a connection to the arts from an early age, influenced by a creative upbringing and an instinctive fascination with color, form, and self-expression.

His creative career began in visual art. After studying art and design at the International Academy of Design & Technology, Patraw continued developing his craft independently, creating vivid abstract works characterized by bold color, movement, and unconventional materials. His signature pieces incorporated elements such as Swarovski crystals and metal spikes, bringing together beauty, texture, and an underlying sense of edge. In his early twenties, his work expanded into private events and solo showcases at hotels, including experiences featuring live body painting.

Fashion eventually became a natural extension of that artistic language.

After working as a stylist with Armani Exchange, Patraw developed a deeper understanding of luxury, personal style, and the relationship between design and the individual wearing it. Those experiences, combined with his background as an artist, ultimately led him to establish PATRAW.

Today, Patraw approaches fashion much as he approaches a canvas. His collections explore strong silhouettes, rich materials, distinctive details, and the balance between timeless luxury and contemporary art. From footwear and handbags to leather goods, each PATRAW creation is designed to possess its own identity while remaining part of a larger visual world.

With pieces crafted in Italy and an emphasis on considered production, PATRAW represents Patraw’s vision of luxury as something more personal than a label—it is an expression of character.
